Adam Lopez & His Mighty LoCasters are an American Roots trio based in Colorado Springs, CO. They are an original band with a modern take on many classic forms of electric American Roots Music as well as being a modern revival of classic material. Currently supporting Adam's latest solo release "Rock & Roll Is My Super Power", they are putting on high energy shows that keep crowds dancing all night long like the classic days of juke joints and honky tonks. Everything from original music to standards in the Rockabilly, Rhythm & Blues, Honky Tonk, Country, Rock & Roll styles as well as a few surprises thrown in nightly! They are a band that bridges the gap between being just a party band and remaining relevant and modern at the same time. Besides great original music, you'll get a wide range of classics from Sun Records, Specialty Records, Chess Records, classic 50's honky tonk & country, and more. A must see live show!
Adam Lopez & His Mighty LoCasters: Bio
Adam Lopez:
I was born a musician into a family full of musicians.
At age 7 I began my formal guitar training under former Boston Pops member John Pramas.
By age 9 I was playing in bands and learning to work a stage.
During the 90's singer/songwriter scene in Southern California I began learning the ways of the self sufficient guitarist/vocalist/songwriter. While still in my teens I took over a weekly at the famous Inner Change Coffeehouse in San Diego. A gig vacated by the recently signed Jewel.
Since then I've sold my own albums worldwide; US, UK, Japan, Australia, and more.
I've been a featured artist at many national level festivals, on radio stations, and even some college/indy radio music charts.
I've worked with many amazing musicians as both a band leader and sideman including: Rocky Frisco (JJ Cale), Harold Mason (Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye), Brandon Holder (Leon Russell), Sweet Harry Williams (Ike & Tina Turner, Brownie McGhee & Sonny Terry), David Thayer (Garth Brooks, Reba, Clint Black), Rick Gomez (Roy Clark), Chuck Blackwell (Taj Mahal, Leon Russell), Chris Combs and Josh Raymer (Jacob Fred Jazz Odessey), Dustin Pittsley, Jesse Aycock, Bucky Young (Ike & Tina Turner), Mike Day (Eddie Rabbitt, Charlie Pride), Ed English (Merle Haggard), Brian Parton (Nashville Rebels), Johnny Carlton and Billy Padgett (The Starkweather Boys), and many many more.....
I've shared festival and club bills with countless wonderful acts including B.B. King, Buddy Guy, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Black Crowes, Cake, The Roots, Ian Moore, P.M. Dawn, Kim Lenz, Lee Rocker, and many more...
I consider myself a musician first, but my true love is the guitar. Particularly the "Telecaster" style as it applies to all things American Roots Music; Rockabilly, Rock & Roll, Western Swing, Honky Tonk, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Country, etc... I am a Danny Gatton disciple, and love James Burton, Jim Campilongo, Cliff Gallup, Brian Setzer, Jeff Beck, Don Rich, Roy Nichols, Marty Stuart, Kenny Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, T-Bone Walker, Dave Gonzalez, Paul Pigat, Chris Casello, Carl Bradychok, Tom Principato, Joe Pass, Grady Martin, Hank Garland, Leon Rhodes, Junior Barnard, and countless others.
I've come a long way from a pretty meager start and I'm grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and joy playing guitar and music has brought me. I feel like I've both done this 'forever' and yet I'm still just getting started!
See you soon....
Adam
